Background

As part of a consortium SIPU International intend to tender for the project “Support to NAO in providing training and technical assistance for the internal auditors of the IPA structures”in Turkey, to be funded by the European Union. The aims of the assignment are improving the audit capacity and providing a sustainable ability to internal auditors in fulfilling the need for audits in IPA implementing structures.

Job

Description

SIPU are looking for PIFC experts interested in short- or long-term assignments in the project. Detailed Job Descriptions are not yet available. Areas for consultancy and training include to:

·      Provide necessary training in:

-         financial audit of EU funds;

-         accounting;

-         internal/external audit;

-         IT and system audit processes;

-         risk-based internal audit;

-         quality assurance of internal audit;

-         transactions audit;

-         reporting irregularity and fraud; and

-         certification which helps to increase the knowledge base of internal auditors to perform in accordance with international internal audit standards and best practices

·      Following in-class and hands-on training, on-the-job training will be provided to the auditors

Key Qualifications and required skills

·         Professional experience of working with the EU concept of PIFC

·         Internationally recognised Certification as Internal Auditor

·         Professional expertise in auditing IPA structures

·         Professional experience of training in internal auditing

·         Work experience from South-eastern Europe

·         Full professional proficiency in English

·         Experience of working with a participatory approach

·         Excellent personal skills and communication skills
