Dates set for fourth run of the global approach of the Human Rights Towards Gender Equality programme.

April 17th to May 14th 2010 are the dates for the next global approach of the Human Rights Towards Gender Equality programme. This will be the fourth time that SIPU International in collaboration with Uppsala University welcomes 25 participants for 4 weeks of training in Stockholm and Uppsala.

The basic objective of the programme is to look at how fulfillment of human rights is a basic necessity for reaching gender equality, from a practical as well as theoretical point of view. Each participant will bring a personal project for change, and the idea is develop this by applying their newly gained knowledge in their own professional environment back home. This process begins during the training in Sweden and is continuously followed-up over a one and a half year period.

Applications are open for participants from Ethiopia, Laos, Kenya, Tanzania and Vietnam. Further instructions and requirements can be found in the Programme Brochure.
